Hi, friends! We're giving away a sweater kit to knit this gorgeous Lovebirds Sweater from Kate Oates. Why? We want to raise money to flip the senate in the Georgia runoff elections this January! There are some amazing grassroots organizations in the state working so hard right now to get people registered and to fight voter suppression, which has historically targeted black and brown people disproportionately.
Here's how the raffle works...
You may donate to one (or all!) of these organizations:
- Stacy Abrams' Fair Fight, The New Georgia Project, or Black Voters Matter.
- Your direct donation(s) must be in $5 increments, and you MUST forward, or send us a screenshot of, your donation confirmation to this email: spincycle.fundraising@gmail.com
Please donate as much as you like, and we will enter your name into the drawing one time for every $5 you donate! (Example: five dollars gets you one entry; one hundred dollars gets you twenty entries!)
This Friday, November 27, we will announce the randomly selected winner on Instagram (and we'll email too, so we can chat yardage requirements)! How's that for a Black Friday mood?!
We'll cover domestic shipping; if the winner is outside the US, we will send an invoice to cover shipping costs.
The kit details: The winner will receive the yarns and pattern for Lovebirds. (We will find out which size you'll be knitting and send you the appropriate yardage.) The bundle will include our Wilder in "Dark Grey" for the main color, and our Dyed In The Wool in "Midsommar" for the contrast color. Sorry, colorways are not negotiable. You'll receive skeins similar to the ones pictured, and your sweater will look a lot (but not exactly!) like the one pictured.
